With the aim of supporting citizens through initiatives that promote health awareness and healthy lifestyles, as well as fostering the development of services and products essential for maintaining health, the The Inovative Cluster for Health "Lower Danube" was established as the first healthcare cluster in Romania’s South-East Development Region.

The The Inovative Cluster for Health "Lower Danube" in Galați is being developed through a bottom-up approach, focusing on supporting individual medical practices and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in enhancing their innovation capacity through collaboration with research and development institutes, vocational training centers, and higher education institutions.

Located in Romania’s South-East Development Region, the Cluster is also supported by public authorities and non-governmental organizations with extensive experience in providing cluster support services and promoting its activities at the local, regional, national, and international levels.

The internationalization of the Cluster—through its marketing, branding, sales promotion, and networking activities—is a key priority for the SMURD Galați Association. These efforts support the Association in understanding and addressing the diverse challenges related to the Cluster’s growth and long-term success throughout its life cycle.

The Cluster’s internationalization, marketing, branding, promotion, networking, and research-development-innovation (RDI) strategies are integral components of the overall development strategy of the The Inovative Cluster for Health "Lower Danube" in Galați.
